Topic: A comprehensive approach to system-on-chip security

Biography:
Guy Gogniat is Professor of ECE at the Université Bretagne Sud, Lorient, France, where he has been since 1998. In 2005, he spent a year as an invited researcher at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, USA, working on the security of embedded systems using reconfigurable technologies. His work focuses on design methodologies and tools for embedded systems. He has conducted research in the area of reconfigurable and adaptive computing. He has been developing research in the area of embedded system security for 20 years. He is currently Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Science and the scientific and pedagogical director of the CYBERUS Erasmus Mundus programme in Cybersecurity.

Aleksandar JEVREMOVIC

Biography:

Dr. Aleksandar Jevremovic is a distinguished scholar and professor specializing in cybersecurity, Human-Computer Interaction, and AI. He serves as a full professor at the Faculty of Informatics and Computing at Singidunum University in Belgrade, Serbia, where he previously held the position of Vice-Dean (2015-2018). Dr. Jevremovic is a Serbian representative on UNESCO’s International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Technical Committee on Human-Computer Interaction. He has also been a guest lecturer at Harvard University and an external consultant for the American Public University System in West Virginia. His research work spans the Mathematical Institute of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the School of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade. Internationally, prof. Jevremovic has held roles such as visiting scholar at Cyprus University of Technology, post-doctoral researcher at Tallinn University, and visiting professor at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in North Macedonia. Dr. Jevremovic was engaged as an external expert by the European Commission’s Joint Research Center and served on the External Advisory Committee for the Next Generation Internet projects. He has also been a mentor and trainer in several international programs, enhancing professional development in HCI and related fields. He earned his PhD in 2011 with a dissertation on integrating custom cryptographic systems into standard telecommunication infrastructure, following a Magister of Science degree (2007) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (2004), where he was awarded for his outstanding thesis. His extensive involvement in European scientific projects, particularly in cybersecurity and IoT, highlights his role in advancing knowledge in these fields. He has authored numerous publications, including books and journal articles, and has been recognized with awards for his contributions to the fields of artificial intelligence and computer networks. He is also recognized as an Expert Level Instructor at Cisco Networking Academy Program. As a member of IEEE and the Informatics Association of Serbia, Dr. Jevremovic continues to contribute to global discussions on technological innovation and academic progress.

Biography:

Spirovski Bozidar has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity. He believes that cybersecurity is not just about technology but is integral to every aspect of an organization. 

By working closely with teams, Bozidar aims to integrate cybersecurity features as a standard practice in product development. He also stresses the importance of leadership in fostering individual growth and providing consistent support. 

Bozidar has held significant roles in various companies. He is the Chief Information Security Officer at Blue dot and Sourcico, with previous tenure in SaaS startups as well as large enterprises in the banking, telco and energy sectors. At EVN, H4 and Blue dot he played a pivotal role in setting up the InfoSec organizations and achieving approval by security teams of the largest companies in the world as customers. 

He is the founder of BeyondMachines, the The Day After Production Workshop series, ByteBreach challenges and the YieldCat.com intentionally vulnerable platform, all tools for engineers, product managers and security people to oversee and exercise their security skills, so they can easily apply them in practice.

Topic: Methods that Matter: Rigor and Ethics in Cybersecurity Research

Biography:

Dr. Mehmet Nafiz Aydın is a Full Professor of Management Information Systems at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Bogazici University, Istanbul. He obtained his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Twente in the Netherlands (NL) and has held academic positions at Toronto Metropolitan University (Canada), the University of Twente (NL), and Kadir Has University, İstanbul.

His research interests span a wide range of topics, including IS research methods, information and technology management, Graph-based anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, open data platforms, and responsible AI. Professor Aydın has authored over 80 scholarly articles and book chapters, making substantial contributions to the field of information systems research.

With a multidisciplinary academic background and a breadth of expertise, Professor Aydin is recognized as a leading authority in method engineering, network science. He has successfully supervised more than 15 Ph.D. students, seven of whom have completed their degrees under his guidance, and continues to mentor future scholars and professionals in the domain.

Professor Aydın serves as the coordinator of the EU-funded research project TOP4HoneyChains and has been actively involved in over 30 research and innovation projects in various capacities (e.g., the Erasmus+ project CyberMACS), project manager, and advisor. He has provided Türkiye Exporter Assembly with an academic coordination of National Corporate Innovation (İnoSuit) and Sustainability Management (ECOTİM) Program which included more than 300 exporting companies in various sectors. Topic: Recent Advances in Post-Quantum Cryptography: Standardization and Migration

Biography:

Sedat Akleylek received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics majored in Computer Science from Ege University in 2004 in Izmir, Turkey, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Cryptography from Middle East Technical University in 2008 and 2010, in Ankara, Turkey, respectively. He was a post-doctoral researcher at Cryptography and Computer Algebra Group, TU Darmstadt, Germany between 2014-2015. He has been with the Chair of Security and Theoretical Computer Science, University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia, since 2022. He is a member of the editorial board of IEEE Access, Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Peerj Computer Science, and International Journal of Information Security Science. His research interests include post-quantum cryptography, algorithms and complexity, architectures for computations in finite fields, applied cryptography for cyber security, malware analysis, IoT security, and avionics cyber security. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals, conference proceedings, book chapters and has solved several real-world security and data analytics problems for the industry. He is contributing to the project Development and Maintaining of the General Competence “Cryptography” (No 2-2/24/541-1) funded by Estonian Ministry of Defence.

Topic: Managing Enterprise Security: Challenges in the Modern Era

Biography:

Ivica Gjorgjevski is an Information Security Officer with over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, IT risk management, and compliance. His career spans military, governmental, and financial sectors, including pivotal roles within the Army of the Republic of Macedonia, National Security Authority of Republic of Macedonia and NATO. Currently serving as the ISO at Stopanska Banka AD – Skopje, Ivica leads strategic initiatives to strengthen organizational security postures and mitigate cyber risks. His expertise is backed by a robust portfolio of certifications, including CISM, CISSP, CEH, CND, and ECIH, and he is also a certified EC-Council Instructor.

Ivica has contributed to numerous national and international projects, such as the establishment of Macedonia’s National CIRT and the implementation of communication and information systems for classified information exchange. A frequent speaker and participant in global conferences and workshops, Ivica is recognized for his leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration in multicultural environments. His multilingual proficiency and technical acumen make him a key figure in advancing cybersecurity standards across sectors.
